Message other day, and yes I can imagine that CA is likely very much out of hand as far as how they are enforcing their weird laws, you wont get an arguement from me there, you live there I dont.

But like I told the other guy, CA is so far gone out of wack that I wonder if it is hopeless to expect change for the better. You got Arnold who thought he could take on both parties at the sametime, and found out for himself that he cant beat political parties at their own game, especially when the game is rigged so that they will always win and get their way.

Crime is such a problem in Cali with all the illegals pouring in on top of the homegrown variety, that this is exactly what you can expect from government when they simply try to use knee-jerk reactions to give the appearance that they are solving a problem.

All thats going to happen (worst case) is, body kits sales will suffer, pillar gage housing sales suffer, anything that can be seen at a glance will suffer, and everyone who is smart and still wants to street race will go for a subtle look, gauges in glovebox, no Orville-Wright-on-steroids rear-wings......hmmm, cali might be onto something here. Maybe people should have been ticketing for this a long time ago?
At any rate they are going to treat anyone who looks "boy-racer" as little more than boy-racer and hit em hard. Oh well what can you do? Texas is looking better and better all the time.

And I hear you on trading the military gig for the Civvy, but I never view my job as being paid for the relatively little work I do, rather I am being paid for a job that I may have to do in the future, and being paid to be prepared and full up to do that job, which may cost me my life, which there is no dollar value I can put on.

Its a trade off, bust your ass for the big cash but be able to walk away, legally, at anytime without risk of dying in a firey explosion. Or get paid decent money with great benefits and total job security and risk ending up in a smoldering crater.

I feel bad for volcano scientists, they get the ass end of both deals.
